Description
Great Expectations Crane Red Merlot brings supple fruit and a gentle oak influence to the Goedverwacht Family Wines range. This Robertson Valley Merlot is fermented in stainless steel, completes malolactic fermentation, then spends five months in tank with French oak staves. It is an inviting choice for a table of familiar favourites.
Tasting Notes: Red berries and dried plum are layered with dark chocolate, a little coffee and a mineral note. A soft, rounded mouthfeel and ripe, supple tannins make the wine particularly approachable.
Food Pairings: Cheese, pasta, red meat dishes or chargrilled burgers.
Ordering note: Price displayed is per bottle. Wine is sold in a minimum of 6 bottles and in multiples of 6 thereafter.
