Description
J&G Cabernet Sauvignon brings a structured yet approachable red to Goedverwacht Family Wines’ Robertson Valley collection. The grapes are hand harvested from south-sloping vineyards on rocky, weathered shale soils with a high lime content. Maturation in second-fill French oak barrels for 12 months gives the wine time to develop before a light filtration and bottling.
Tasting Notes: Blackcurrant, dark chocolate and a gentle vanilla note rise from the glass. Fine, ripe tannins shape the palate, balancing immediate drinkability with the structure described by the producer as suitable for ageing.
